Course Description:
This course will cover NEC 2014 changes to articles 690 and 705, beginning with code reorganization and new definitions. We will discuss the new “Rapid Shutdown” requirement, changes for field-applied labeling, the new 1000 Volt limit for PV systems, as well as evolving grid interconnection requirements in article 705.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify listing requirements for Photovoltaic (PV) components and equipment
- Recognize “Rapid Shutdown” requirements for PV systems on buildings
- Determine supply and load side utility connection requirements
- Describe requirements for ungrounded PV systems
- Determine labeling requirements for PV systems
