Grow Solar Waushara County is an Education and Group Purchasing Program for Residential and Commercial Solar and Energy Efficiency.
How does the program work?
We offer free education about solar to help people figure out if solar is right for them. Do you own a property? Is it relatively free from shade? Do you want to lower your electricity bills? Solar might be right for you!
Start by attending a Solar Power Hour. Our free information session teaches you the basics of solar, its financial implications for your property, and how the Grow Solar Waushara County program works.
Then, get a free, no obligation site assessment from our competitively-selected installer, to be announced when the program launches. After attending a Solar Power Hour, schedule a site assessment and cost estimate.

Not just solar!
This program isn’t only about solar. We’ve also partnered with CAP Services to help connect those who need it with it’s Weatherization and Rehabilitation program. CAP Services weatherizes income-qualified homes identified by the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP). WHEAP provides CAP with a referral list of qualified homes for eventual follow-up to determine owner/tenant interest in participating in the program.
Housing rehabilitation funds are provided to low-income homeowners as a deferred loan that is due upon sale of the home, if the home is no longer their primary residence, or 30 years from the date of the loan origination. Households eligible for the 0% or 2.25% simple interest loans must have annual incomes at or below 80% of the county median income.
