Interested in Becoming an Installer for Grow Solar?

Become an Installer

Each Grow Solar program is administered by the MREA and a competitively-selected local solar installation company. Together, they guide participants through the program, from initial outreach and education to site assessments, contracting and installation.

Interested in becoming a installer? Click here, or the button below, to sign up for the RFP list newsletter. Apply by downloading the applicable RFP and following the application procedures listed. Installation firms are encouraged to submit joint applications. Submitting a joint proposal offers a number of benefits, including increased efficiency, capacity, and reduced costs. By working together, partners can create a stronger proposal that will have a greater chance of success. The MREA/Grow Solar team will not pair installers together who have not submitted a joint proposal.

Selected installers can expect the MREA and Grow Solar team to deliver free, public Solar Power Hour information sessions and market them widely with posters, email blasts, and paid social media promotion.

What is a Solar Power Hour?

Power Hour presentations help interested property owners determine whether the renewable technology being offered in the program is right for them.

Presentations typically last an hour, including 15 minutes of Q&A, and are held either in-person or virtually. The presentations are the main driver of participation in the program, producing well-informed leads ready to go solar, saving the installer hours of marketing and education they’d typically handle on their own.
