  • What is a Group Buy?

Grow Solar Polk County is back!

After a successful first program last year, Grow Solar Polk County is returning for a second group buy program in spring of 2023. Through this program, home and business owners throughout Polk County can learn about solar and pool their buying power to secure significant discounts that make installing solar more affordable.

The program is once again being offered by the Midwest Renewable Energy Association, The Nature Conservancy in Iowa, 1000 Friends of Iowa and a wide array of local organizations and municipalities.

Solar Financing Opportunity

Our program’s success also led to a new partnership with the Neighborhood Finance Corporation (NFC) to help low and moderate income households go solar through the same trusted process. No one should be left behind in the clean energy transition. NFC helps bridge this gap by offering funding in specific lending areas in Polk County.

To see if your current home or a home you are considering for purchase is included in NFC’s lending areas, please go here and enter your street address in the boxes under HOME LOCATOR. For more information on how NFC loans and forgivable loans work together, contact Richard Cook, NFC Loan Originator (NMLS 400117) at 515-273-1368 or .
